I. Approve January Minutes<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 Approved. <\/span><\/p>\n

II. Treasurers Report<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 Kariene created new format.\u00a0 <\/span>We are balanced and in the black!\u00a0 <\/span>To view report and\/or bank statements contact Kariene.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>III. Business:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Picnic Chair \u2013Libby<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 <\/span><\/b>Will discuss picnic in the Spring.\u00a0 <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Workshop Chair \u2013 Cherie<\/span><\/span><\/b>\u2013 Grapevine Workshop to be held with the Chili Cook-Off February 22, 2pm \u2013 4pm.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ACTION ITEMS:<\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Join us at 1:30pm to set-up and\/or stay after to clean up!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Posters created yesterday, 2\/8, successfully.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Please bring any donations of Grapevines directly to the Workshop February 22nd<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Will hold 50\/50 raffle; 50% goes to the raffle winner and 50% to District.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The District will combine this 50% and the funds raised from the donation can to pay for the cost of the church ($75).\u00a0 <\/span>Any remaining funds will be donated to the Central Office. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Agenda in process.\u00a0 <\/span>Speakers confirmed and will speak approximately 30 minutes after the chili tasting.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a7\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Awards announced after the speakers. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>PICPC \u2013 Claudia<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 Claudia not in attendance.\u00a0 <\/span>Cherie and Kimberly from District 5B have teamed up to hold meetings and are going to Tonopah together.\u00a0 <\/span>They will have a table at the H&I Workshop March 1st<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>H&I \u2013 Tony (Liaison)<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 H&I Workshop March 1st<\/sup>, Salvation Army at 2900 Palomino, 8am \u2013 3pm.\u00a0 <\/span>Breakfast and lunch are available for small cost.\u00a0 <\/span>Workshop includes panels, speakers and a question and answer session.\u00a0 <\/span>H&I opportunities will be represented to sign up! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>ACTION ITEM:<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Tony requests that GSR\u2019s attend and bring at least 1 person from their home group along.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Grapevine \u2013 Libby<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013ACTION ITEM:<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span>Please ask your Grapevine Rep to register on the Grapevine website http:\/\/www.aagrapevine.org\/.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Hotline \u2013<\/span><\/span><\/b>Billy, Hotline Chair and Claudia, 12 Step Chair, attended.\u00a0 <\/span>Billy brought information packets and trained the GSR\u2019s that volunteered to take a shift on behalf of District 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

*District 1\u2019s shift is the first Monday of each month, 8pm \u2013 8am.\u00a0 <\/span>Starts this month, 2\/17.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Tonopah <\/span><\/span><\/b>– <\/span><\/span>Reminder to make reservations for Tonopah!\u00a0 <\/span>If a group cannot afford to send their GSR, funds are available as follows:\u00a0 <\/span>$50 from District 1 and Area 42 plus $75 from SAGS ($175 total).\u00a0 <\/span>Please speak with Jake.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Secretary to send out separate email regarding room and ride shares.\u00a0 <\/span>Irene can take 6 and Ted & Libby can take 5.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jake joined the Assembly Question Committee and should know by February 15th<\/sup> or 16th<\/sup> when the questions will be distributed.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span>L<\/span>ost and Found Club<\/span><\/span><\/b> – <\/span><\/span>Joan gave a key to the Lost and Found Club to Jake today.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>SOLD OUT:\u00a0 <\/span>District 1\u2019s order of the 75th<\/sup> Edition of the Big Book<\/span><\/span><\/b> – Jake is placing the order Friday.\u00a0 <\/span>Woo Hoo<\/span><\/p>\n

NEW BUSINESS:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

District 1 website:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Irene added all of the District 1 meetings she could locate on a Google map and posted this on the website.\u00a0 <\/span>Check it out at <\/span>https:\/\/districtone-nv.org\/district-one-meetings\/<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>If anyone knows of new meetings or meetings that are no longer meeting, please inform Irene and\/or Lynn.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Tracking down GSR\u2019s<\/span><\/span>:\u00a0 <\/span>Jake will send several meetings that have identified GSR\u2019s but we are unsure if the information is accurate\/updated.\u00a0 <\/span>The ad hoc committee will attend the meetings, track down the GSR and review an information packet with them.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Website education<\/span><\/span>:\u00a0 <\/span>Jessica raised great point about AA websites\u2019; search engines often list non-AA approved websites.\u00a0 <\/span>Please educate your groups to go to the \u201cofficial\u201d AA website (http:\/\/www.aa.org<\/a>), the Las Vegas Central Office website (http:\/\/lvcentraloffice.org\/<\/a>), and District 1\u2019s website (https:\/\/districtone-nv.org<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Donation to Lost and Found Club<\/span><\/span>: Motion made and approved to contribute $5 out of the District 1 meetings\u2019 7th<\/sup> Tradition directly to the Lost and Found Club.\u00a0 <\/span>Money will be deposited in the safe beginning today.<\/span><\/p>\n
