I. Approve November Minutes<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 Approved.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>II. Treasurers Report<\/span><\/span><\/b> \u2013 Kariene \u2013 Found (-)$351.23 difference between excel spreadsheet budget and the bank statements.\u00a0 <\/span>Jake, Claudia and Ted will review to attempt to find the error.\u00a0 <\/span>Kariene offered to step down from the Treasurer position; the District refused the offer and requested she remain as Treasurer.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lisa misplaced approximately $30 in funds and wrote a personal check for that amount to the District.\u00a0 <\/span>She is continuing to look for the cash and will turn it in when\/if found.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>III. Business:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Picnic Chair \u2013Libby<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Joan and Bridget have offered to co-chair in 2014.\u00a0 <\/span>Bridget unable to attend this month so vote tabled until next month.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Libby provided print out of 2013 picnic expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Workshop Chair \u2013 Cherie <\/span>\u2013Last month\u2019s workshop very successful \u2013 standing room only at the Triangle Club!\u00a0 <\/span>A few suggestions were received: 1) clarify the format (\u201cworkshop\u201d vs \u201cspeaker meeting\u201d or \u201cpanel\u201d), 2) distribute an agenda.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>2014 District 1 workshop – Ad hoc committee formed (Libby, Lynn, Joan, Lisa and Cherie).\u00a0 <\/span>Topic will be the Grapevine and will be combined with the Chili Cook-Off.\u00a0 <\/span>Date and location to be confirmed by this Friday.\u00a0 <\/span>The ad hoc committee will meet 1\/4\/2014 and then submit an outline to the District committee for approval.<\/span><\/p>\n

PICPC \u2013 Claudia<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Claudia\u2019s first meeting will be December 16th<\/sup>.\u00a0 <\/span>She will provide a report in January.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>H&I \u2013 Tony (Liaison)<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Next meeting is December 10th<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Grapevine \u2013 Libby<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Meetings held the second Friday, 6pm, Central Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Libby challenged the committee to double the number of Grapevine reps (to 6) in 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Hotline \u2013 Ted<\/span><\/span> \u2013 Meetings held the second Monday at 6:30pm at Central Office, small room.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Claudia volunteered for the Hotline shift on Tuesdays, 4pm \u2013 8pm, for 2014; Joan as back-up.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>District 1 members volunteered to take the Wednesday 8pm \u2013 8am shift once per month for 2014:\u00a0 <\/span>Larry, Libby, Bob (2), Ted (2), Tony, Claudia, Joan, Jake (2) and Lynn.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jake has been visiting the meetings that have a GSR who has not been attending District monthly meetings.\u00a0 <\/span>A member of the Friday Quiet Minds meeting at the GVG signed up as a result!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Jake is maintaining a list of names of those wanting to order the 75th<\/sup> Anniversary edition of the Big Book \u2013 needs 50 orders to significantly reduce shipping costs.\u00a0 <\/span>Submit your name to Jake if interested.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Mike, Area 42 Chair<\/span><\/span>, attended the meeting and reviewed the upcoming Spring Assembly information.\u00a0 <\/span>Doug R. from the NY GSO will be the main speaker; this is a first as this is the first time he will visit Nevada.\u00a0 <\/span>Another representative from the GSO, Roberta, will also attend; they will both hold a question and answer session about the GSO\u2019s responsibilities.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
