MEETING MINUTES DISTRICT 1 – https://districtone-nv.org JULY 14th, 2013
Serenity Prayer followed by the reading of the GSR preamble.
I. June 9th, 2013, Minutes – Approved.
II. Treasurer’s Report – Group supports Karine’s idea to send a written “thank you” to home groups sending contributions to District 1. She will compare cost of letters vs postcards; group to vote next month. 35 home groups have donated this year.
III. Business
a. Picnic Chair – Libby (new chair) – October 5th, Park in Boulder City, confirmed for the Annual District 1 picnic. Libby obtained picnic supplies today; update next month.
b. Workshop Chair – Cherie – District 1 will conduct the workshop solo, theme is the Three Legacies; Recovery, Unity, Service. Suggested date Sunday, August 18th, afternoon, possibly at Camel Club. Ad hoc committee formed – Jake, Cherie and Lynn – to gather additional information to bring to the group within the next 2 weeks.
c. PICPC – Cherie – No update.
d. H&I – Tony – Meetings needing participation:
1) Tuesday 3pm LV Recovery – contact Leo, 702-688-0872.
2) Every other Wednesday 7pm Indian Springs Boot Camp – Dennis, 561-1032.
3) Friday 6:30pmSouthern Dessert Prison – Dennis, 561-1032.
4) Saturday – Women only1:45pmMcClure Correction Facility – Nina, 335-9108.

e. Grapevine – Libby – Grapevine celebrating its 39th Anniversary at Central Office, July 30th, 5:30pm. Potluck and Speaker meeting.
f. Hotline – Ted – Not present.
g. Intergroup – Cherie – No Intergroup meeting last week. Site Conference end of September.
h. Roundup – Larry – The Board of Directors of the Round Up decided to charge for marathon meetings this year. District 1 will be collecting a list of all marathon meetings in the District to distribute to all groups prior to Thanksgiving.
i. Website Guidelines–Approved by group! To be posted on website. The domain name and email address available through the website must be linked to the District 1 credit card, which is issued to the Treasurer at the time; conflict with anonymity? TBD.
