Minutes District 1 Meeting March 30 2014
Serenity Prayer followed by the reading of the GSR preamble.
I. February Minutes – Not on hand.
II. Treasurer’s Report – In the black in both savings and checking. Please see Kariene for report details.
III. Business
a. Picnic Chair – Libby – Planning will start this month. (Bridget co-chair, Joan back-up).
b. Summer Workshop –Consensus for Summer 2014 workshop:
· Social Media and Anonymity
· Partnering with District 15; Shannon is DCM
· Ad hoc committee created – Bridget, Libby, Cherie, Shannon, Lisa
c. CICPC – Cherie – (Claudia co-liaison, Debbie back-up).
· Actively seeking liaisons and alt liaisons from all Districts in Southern Area 42 to participate and contribute funds.
d. Hotline – Openings the third Monday, 8pm – 8am shift.
e. PRAASA – Jake confirmed in 2011, District 1 approved $50 for those going to PRAASA.
IV. New Business
a. Reaching out to home groups without an active GSR.
· Please see attachments and return any comments to Jake and/or Lynn.
· Jake, Libby and Lynn will organize a “welcome packet” and then distribute to GSR’s for approval.
· Then volunteer GSR’s will visit these groups and present the “welcome packet” to increase communication and hopefully participation.
· More to come!
b. Not a Glum Lot is having its quarterly workshop – What Is a Homegroup?
